Confirmation Classes will be held August 1-8 at Salem for young people from all three churches on the Cowpens Charge.  We will be using the series, Claim the Name.  These classes provide an opportunity for children and youth (6th grade and up) to learn what it means to be a Christian and a Methodist.  Most importantly, they will prepare them for making a public profession of faith and become a professing member of the United Methodist Church.  The schedule is as follows:

  • Sunday, Aug. 1:  4:00 pm

  • Monday – Friday, Aug. 2 – 6:  6:30 pm

  • Saturday, Aug. 7:  11 am

  • Sunday, Aug. 8:  4 pm

  • Confirmation Sunday will be Aug. 15

 

 

Announcements

June:

  • Volunteers are needed to help out with the Mighty Moo Breakfast on Saturday, June 19.  Please contact Shirley Birch for more information.

  • NCD Will meet June 21 at 6:00
  • Administrative Council will follow the NCD meeting on the 21 at 7:00

July:

  • A one-day VBS for the Cowpens Charge will be held Saturday, July 24, at St. Mark.  Click Here for More Details

August:

  • There will be an ice cream supper for the Cowpens Charge at 4 pm Sunday, August 29, at St. Mark.  Bring churns of homemade ice cream, cakes, cookies, etc., and join in a great time of fellowship.
